Passover

Crowns Of Glory

2 Tim 4:8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

James 1:12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

Sanctification

Phil 2:12  “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling...”

This passage has been the source of many debates concerning eternal security and law vs grace (that is, salvation by works or grace).  Such debates often cause conflict and division.

But I suggest that there is a more important meaning to it that should encourage and edify the serious believer.
