HOPE

“... let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”   Hebrews 10:22-23

Let us hold fast the confession of our Hope.

HOPE – what a powerful word – what an important asset.

As a verb, it means –  To look forward to with confidence or expectation – To expect and desire.

Seek And You Shall Find

In Matthew 7:7 Jesus says, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 

What Christian doesn’t know this promise?

It is a promise that brings hope into desperate circumstances.

But this promise carries with it a responsibility seldom considered:- 

Have a care what you ask for because you just might get it.

And it might well be a curse rather than a blessing.

Seek Ye First

John 6:27
”Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”

God is a God of order – and He has ordained that there be an order to the things that we do – He tells us that if we follow His sequence in our activities we will surely enter His Rest.

Accountability

Romans 14:12-13 declares, “So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother's way.”
